The journey of Sonny Boy, suspended in time between his hometown and outer space, somewhere between Ferrara and the Moon. Sarah Mazzetti weaves together stories that race ahead like a rollercoaster; the Moon (as Dalla sang in another song, "the seventh moon was the one at the Luna Park"), then Sonny Boy and Lucio, who starts as the narrator and gradually becomes a child within the story, eager to explore the life that awaits him and its great mysteries.
15% of the book's proceeds will go toward creating a real-life "Parco della Luna", a magical place designed to welcome children hospitalized at Policlinico Sant'Orsola in Bologna.

The song
"Like many of Dalla's lyrics, this one too feels like a movie, and if it truly were one, we might say that "Il Parco della Luna" is a cinematic fragment of a coming-of-age story (...). With its twists and turns, rises and falls, the song itself is like a rollercoaster, straight from the Luna Park in its title."
From the foreword "Una Canzone Rollercoaster" (A Rollercoaster of a Song) by Giulia Cavaliere.
